Project Overview:

General contractor for Eversource Energy’s first-in-the-nation networked geothermal project located in Framingham. The project consists of 37 buildings – 32 residential and five commercial – for a total of 140 customers. Eversource selected R.H. White due to its experience with HDPE pipe installations and the efficiency and quality of its past projects.

  • Drilled bore fields and managed the execution of site-civil work, construction of the geothermal loop main, service lines, and pump house as well as the structural, mechanical, and electrical related scope of the construction.
  • The project includes 5,800′ of 8″ HDPE main distribution with glycol mixture, 3,000′ of HDPE services, two conventional bore fields with 53 holes, two incline-drilled platforms with 35 holes, two pump vaults, and 11 energy transfer vaults.
  • Self-performed excavation, HDPE and carbon steel pipe installation, welding, tie-ins, and paving restoration.
  • Restore areas to preconstruction conditions and assist Eversource with operations and maintenance for 24 months from the final system commissioning.
