Safety is Everyones Job
The goals of management are to provide a safe, injury-free work environment, and for employees to return home at the end of each work day. R.H. White believes that a safe workplace encourages a more efficient workforce, which results in a better quality product.
Every R.H.White employee is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and observing all applicable safety procedures. Rick Denham, R.H.Whites Safety Manager, oversees the safety programs that include ongoing safety training, approved pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, and orientation and training for all new employees. All field supervisors are OSHA-trained to reinforce a safe working environment. In addition, R.H. White develops site-specific safety plans and strictly enforces project safety standards with all of their subcontractors.
The company aggressively pursues claim mitigation strategies with respect to General Liability, Automobile, and Workers' Compensation claims. Safety is everyone's job, and R.H. White is committed to assuring safe and efficient operations at all times.
Joe Marino and Adam Barker, our full-time Safety Officers, coordinate a variety of training programs. Joe and Adam randomly visit job sites to ensure adherence to proper practices. All Project Managers are responsible for monitoring job site safety in conjunction with Field Superintendents. All subcontractors are subject to the same safety rules as our employees and are likewise monitored.
In compliance with OSHA regulations, the R.H.White Companies maintain on-site safety equipment, individual trauma preparedness, and maintenance of safety statistics. To be proactive and preventive, the Safety team routinely conducts analyses of job-site safety and follows up with recommendations.
R.H.Whites safety program is available for review upon request at any time.
