Safety is Everyone’s Job

Every R.H.White employee is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and observing all applicable safety procedures. Rick Denham, R.H.White’s Training and Safety Coordinator, oversees a continuing program of training attended by new hires as well as by existing employees for training refreshment. Based on their job functions and required tasks, they select from among dozens of dynamic courses covering personal, mechanical, and environmental protection and precautions for all routine and emergency situations.

Joe Marino, our full-time Safety Officer, coordinates a variety of training programs. Joe randomly visits job sites to ensure adherence to proper practices. All Project Managers are responsible for monitoring job site safety in conjunction with Field Superintendents. All subcontractors are subject to the same safety rules as our employees and are likewise monitored.

In compliance with OSHA regulations, the R.H.White Companies maintain on-site safety equipment, individual trauma preparedness, and maintenance of safety statistics. To be proactive and preventive, the Safety team routinely conducts analyses of job-site safety and follows up with recommendations.
