Over the span of 80 years, the company has been involved in many exciting projects but the Cordis Mills project is considered one of our Signature Projects.

R.H.White Construction was recently awarded the 2004 Silver Hammer Award for this project by the Worcester Area Chamber of Commerce. The prestigious Silver Hammer Awards are presented yearly by the Chamber at the Annual Business Meeting to acknowledge “premier construction or rehabilitation projects that have an extraordinary visual and aesthetic impact on the physical landscape of the community and that have brought new life to some of the region’s most historic assets. ”

We have also received the 2005 Environmental Award given by the Worcester Business Journal and the Massachusetts Audubon Society by having shown exemplary environmental leadership and commitment to preserving the environment.

We converted this beautiful 1800’s woolen mill complex into luxurious, full service apartments. The "main mills" contain 93 one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 520 square feet to nearly 1300 square feet. Some of these units are two-story units.

There is a separate building that contains 19 rental units, each with their own private entrance. Most of these are two-story "townhouse" style, and all of these units are 2-bedroom. Adjacent to the residential complex UMass Medical Associates has established a medical office in a former mill outbuilding that was also renovated during this project.

Across the street the Blackstone River flows, providing lovely views to half of the apartments in the main mills. The other half of the residences look out on the historic Blackstone Canal.

The historic site is complemented by the most technological elements available today. Video monitoring at the entrance, secured access to the building and facilities, and the most sophisticated internet access available are all found at Cordis Mills Luxury Apartments.
