Construction of new 40.7 MGD Combined Sewer Overflow treatment facility at Jones Ferry Road; Water Pollution Control Facility lab expansion project at Medina Street.

2 year construction project.
18,000 square foot facility.
40 ft. deep excavation with groundwater from the adjacent CT River controlled by 100 well-point dewatering system in operation for over one year during foundation construction.
Self-performed process mechanical installation including mechanical screens, conveyor, submersible main lift pumps, dewatering pumps, flushing sytems, sampling systems, chemical feed systems, slide gates and flap valves.
Constructed high flow bypass structure over an existing 72" CSO main in the street. Upon completion of process testing of new facility, a section of 72" main was removed from the structure and flow was diverted to the new facility. |
